MARSH Lab with be adding a new grad student this fall! We are thrilled that Lea Stimpel has accepted our offer to join the lab and Miami’s social psychology PhD program. Lea is coming from the HARP Lab at University of Edinburgh.
Maddi to Binghamton University
After lots of interviews and comparing offers, MARSH Lab RA Maddi Heitkamp has decided to attend Binghamton University to complete her PhD in Behavioral Neuroscience! Maddi will be working with Dr. Anushree Karkhanis to understand how adolescent alcohol exposure relates to the development of addiction and neuropsychiatric disorders through changes in reward pathways and pain sensitivity. Congrats Maddi!

New paper in Current Opinion
Dr. Farrell has published a new paper with two of her favorite co-authors, Sarah Stanton and Emma Marshall, on the strengths and weaknesses of small, tight knit social networks versus larger social networks with more weak links for combatting social disconnection and promoting better health.
